This series of images was made after rape occured on a Septa train in fall 2021. For this series of images, I took quick photographs of locations where I sensed myself becoming more alert to my surroundings as I walked to and from the train. These images were printed out and then rephotographed through the teeth of a zipper, in an attempt to utilize the mechanisms whereby my body could be accessed as a way to focus a viewer’s gaze on the anxiety the “idyllic” location produces.
